Video testimonials are the most powerful: they generate up to 3 times more trust than text testimonials. Opinafy allows your customers to record video directly from the form.

• Business plan: Video recording enabled.
• Other plans: Text, audio, and photo only.

How video recording works

1. The customer accesses your collection form.
2. Clicks the "Record video" button.
3. The browser requests permission to access the camera and microphone.
4. The customer records their testimonial (maximum duration: 2 minutes).
5. They can preview and re-record if not satisfied.
6. On submission, the video is uploaded automatically.

Technical specifications

• Format: WebM (recording) / MP4 (automatic conversion).
• Resolution: Up to 720p.
• Maximum duration: 2 minutes.
• Maximum size: 50 MB.
• Compression: Automatic server-side to optimize storage and loading.

Audio testimonials

Audio testimonials are a perfect alternative to video: more personal than text, but without the barrier of getting in front of a camera.

Availability

• All paid plans: Audio recording enabled (Starter, Pro, and Business).
• Free plan: Text and photo only.

How audio recording works

1. The customer accesses your collection form.
2. Clicks the "Record audio" button.
3. The browser requests permission to access the microphone.
4. The customer records their testimonial (maximum duration: 3 minutes).
5. They can preview and re-record.
6. On submission, the audio is uploaded automatically.

• Maximum duration: 3 minutes.
• Maximum size: 10 MB.
• Quality: 128 kbps.

Photos in testimonials

Your customers can upload a photo with their testimonial. Photos add credibility and make testimonials more visual.

Availability

• All plans: Photo upload enabled.

Types of photos

• Profile photo: A photo of the customer that appears as an avatar next to their name.
• Attached photo: A photo related to the testimonial (e.g., the product, the result, before/after).

Technical specifications

• Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF.
• Maximum size: 5 MB per image.
• Resolution: Automatically resized to a maximum of 1200px width.
• Compression: Automatic to optimize loading.

Automatic compression

All multimedia files uploaded to Opinafy are automatically compressed to ensure fast loading times without sacrificing perceptible quality.

How it works

• Images: Resized and compressed while maintaining excellent visual quality.
• Audio: Converted to MP3 at 128 kbps, an optimal balance between quality and size.
• Video: Converted to MP4 with H.264 compression. Resolution is adjusted to 720p if the original is larger.

Compression is transparent to the user: the original file is processed in the background and the optimized result is served via CDN for maximum speed.

Multimedia tips

• Encourage your customers to record video testimonials: they are much more impactful.
• If your plan does not include video, audio is an excellent alternative.
• Profile photos help humanize text testimonials.
• Make sure your customers have good lighting and a quiet environment for recording.
